- Outdated Instagram version: Since Notes is a new feature, it is only available on the latest version of the Instagram app. Updating the app from the store App Store should help.

How to fix Instagram notes not showing?
If Instagram Notes is not showing on your account, update the Instagram app to the latest version. Open Play Store on your Android device or App Store on iPhone and update the app and try again. Make sure the notes feature is rolled out in your country.

Ensure Instagram notes is available in your region
Instagram Notes is not globally available in all countries yet. So, you must first ensure that Instagram notes are available in your region.
If the feature is not live in your country yet, there’s no point in updating the Instagram app or contacting support.
But how will you know if Instagram Notes is available in your country?
All you need to do is visit this webpage on your device.
If it is not available in your region yet, you will find a message saying, “This feature is not available to everyone” or “This feature isn’t available in your region“.

If this is the case, then there is nothing much you can do to get access to Instagram notes. Some people have found success gaining access to Instagram notes through a VPN. But it does not always work.
On the other hand, if Instagram Notes is available in your country, yet you can’t find it in your account, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Update Instagram
Since Instagram Notes is a new feature, you must update the Instagram app on your Android or iOS device to the latest version.
Most people forget to update Instagram to the latest version and wonder why Instagram notes is not working.
On Android:
- Open Google Play Store.
- Search for Instagram and tap on the first result.
- See if you can find an Update button. If yes, tap the Update button to install the latest version right away.
On iOS:
- Open the App Store.
- Tap your profile picture from the top right corner of the screen.
- Scroll down and go through the list of apps mentioned in the Upcoming Automatic Updates section.
- If Instagram is listed, tap the Update button right next to it.
Once you update Instagram to the latest version, Instagram notes should appear on the app. To access it, open the Instagram app and swipe to the left or tap the DM optioninn the top right corner.
Towards the top of the screen, Instagram Notes should be visible.
To add a new note, tap Your Note button.
Type a short note of not more than 60 characters, select music (if any), and hit Share.
Reinstall Instagram
If notes are not visible on Instagram even after updating the app to the latest version, uninstalling and reinstalling should help.
Many people have found success by uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it again.
On Android:
Open Settings.
Tap Apps/Manage Apps/ Apps & Notifications.
Scroll through the list of installed apps and select Instagram.
Tap the Uninstall button.

Open the Google Play Store
Search for Instagram
Tap the Install button

Once installed, log into your account and head to the DM section
On iOS:
Tap and hold the Instagram icon on the home screen.
Tap Remove App.

Tap Delete App on the popup that appears.
Once uninstalled, open the App Store.
Search for Instagram.
Tap the Get button right next to the app name.
Once installed, login to your account.
Try logging into Instagram on a different device
Did you try logging into the same Instagram account on a different device?
I know it sounds weird, but many people managed to get the Notes feature after logging into Instagram on a different smartphone or tablet.
Even when the Notes feature is available in the region and the app is updated to the latest version, many people are unable to access it.
If you have an additional device, download the Instagram app and try logging into your account. Switch to the DM section and see if you can access the note section.
Contact Instagram support
